I like to read because I find it very relaxing. I read in most of my spare time. Im still reading Breaking Dawn but Im really close to finishing it. In the book the Volturi are like the government for the vampires and they are coming to destroy Bella's child because they think that she is completely immortal but she isn't. She is half mortal and half immortal. Bella feels threatened by this and tries to protect her family. She tries to be a derring-doo and save them.

I finished my book "Left Behind" today. It ended being such a great book, that i had to go and buy the next one in the sequal. I like it. It is the kind of book that pulls you in and you can not stop. The series itself is like a magical elixir that you can get anywhere.
There is no folderol in this book, and I hope that there is none in the next book also.
I think that my favorite thing about reading is that it gets me out of my current situation and puts me in someone elses'. I could read all the time if i had the right kind of time.

My favorite thing about reading is relaxing. I read pretty often and it’s something to do when you’re bored besides TV. Today I continued reading Girl at Sea. It started out very slow and is just now picking up. The main character Clio was on a boat with her father because he mother was going away for the summer. the reasons for the boat trip are kept very secret from Clio until she finds out they are looking for some kind of translator of some unknown language that might piece together how the Egyptians built the pyramids and what they were really used for. Clio and Adrian seem to have an affinity instantly but they don't act on it until quite a ways into the book. When they do finally admit their feelings the corollary is that her father wants to send her back to America.

Usually the only time I'm reading is on long car rides or when I'm flying in a plane. I have a life and dont have time to read. I just started reading The Godfather by Mario Puzo. So far it is the Godfather's daughters wedding so many hoi polloi are coming to ask him a favor. Since it is symptomatic for him to agree to do the favor, he tells the people in return of the favor they must do something for him whenever he asks and whatever it is.

I like reading because not only is it relaxing it takes you out of your own world. Today I was reading Breaking Dawn. I've become so engrossed in these books I'm sad that I'm on the last one. It is hard to discuss the interesting parts without really giving away the storyline more than I want to. But I'm so excited to see what happens next. I still can't believe that Bella has such an affinity to Jacob even though she's married. And it's funny to me how Jacob has had a volte-face about the Cullens. Who would of thought it.

I like to read because I find it relaxes the nerves, exercises the mind, increasing the vocabulary, and helps me escape what ever problems I have on my mind for a while. I was reading Brother Cadfael's Penance, book 20 in the Brother Cadfael Chronicles. Brother Cadfael is drawn away from his humble garden in the Monistary of Shrewsbarry to look for his son Oliver, who is missing after the capture of Faringdon Castle. He believes he can find out where Oliver is by attending the peace talks of Coventry and convincing ether Empress Maud or King Stephen to revel who has his son. Though Brother Cadfael is know for an affinity for solving difficult problems he may have met his match in the form of Brien de Soulis, a man who seems determined to keep Olivers whereabouts a mystery. Though this is as far as iv got is seems that Cadfael may have to run a gamut of politics to find what he wants.

Reading? Relaxing? Not for me. Whenever I try to read outside of school, I just fall asleep unless I'm moving around. I think you have to get a love for reading at a very young age. Don't get me wrong, I have read some very good books in the past, but I've just never had a pasion for reading. I'm pretty sure Albert and you other avid readers are pulling your hair out right now reading this blog. Anyway, I am still reading, "The Other Boylen Girl." It is almost nothing like the movie, which is so much better than the book so far. The main characters are just now figuring out that the Queen is sufering from old age and can no longer produce a son. Mary still has an affinity towards the King. Everyone in the book is going throuygh a gamut of emotions.

I do think reading is relaxing. After reading for a while you really do get lost in the book and feel like you are in it. I love it. Today in class I read the beginning of the first Harry Potter book, haha. It describes how Harry has to move in with his aunt and uncle when he was a baby because his parents were killed. They lived on a cal-de-sac with their sun Dudley when Harry moved in. The witches and wizards, who were wearing clocks, took Harry to his uncle's house. The hoi polloi were wondering why they were dressed so funny, i wonder if they ever figure out that they are magic.

I think reading can be relaxing for me sometimes. i often want to fall asleep after reading for extended periods of time. I do not often read out side of school unless i have to. However, if i do read on my own i have an affinity to books with alot of action and suspence. I did not get to read out of my book today so I had to find a book at home. The first and only book i could find was Frankenstien. This book starts out with the letters of Captin Walton writeing to his sister about his travels to the north. He is trying to become a derring-do and accomplish something no man has ever done before.

Today I read the things they carried (again). I love this book I feel like its going to turn into my favorite book of all time. Today I got my own copy because I like it so much. When one of the soldiers got shoot it was in a terrible bilious way. As the Native American soldier keep say boom drop. That’s all he said about how he died. After his death lieutenant Jim Cross promised to act in a derring-do manner so he could keep his troops safe.

I love to read because it takes my mind off of stressful stuff. I can read it and just forget about every thing. It usually takes me to a new place. Today I started reading the book Artemis Fowl. The other book I was reading did not interest me. Today I read how Artemis kidnapped a fairy to try and make a fortune off of their gold. He had kidnapped the fairy and kept her hostage. The fairy was an officer for the police department. When her commander realized she was missing in action he searched for her. He first followed her locator but then was tricked by Artemis. The fairies found out where Artemis had lived. The part I am at now is when the fairies are at Artemis’s house and are trying to get back their officer. The fairies thing Artemis can’t see them but they are wrong. The fairies go by a secret code. They can’t tell any human their secrets. All of their secrets are ineffable. Artemis is so smart he figured out the fairy language and their code. Since the fairies don’t tell humans their secrets they think Artemis is a master in the art of divination.

I like reading because I tend to read things that teach me things.

I just finished re-reading L'etranger by Albert Camus. I decided to read it today because it is an extremely short book, and because my books are in alphabetical order, and his name was the first one on my shelf.
However, I did love the book every time I have read it (four times), because of its relevance, because of its statement that we, as the "hoi poloi" of the world, are not at all governed by fate, religion, or really any other intrinsic mysteries of life other than those of the factors that we choose to let take control of our lives. A book both humorous and grim, it asserts that all occurrences are absurd, randomn, and completely meaningless , until we, ourselves, apply a meaning to them. The philosophy of the book is intriguing, and empowering, in an existentialist-sort of way. I sort of completed a volte-face from my abject Catholicism after exposing myself to intellectuals such as Camus and others-Nietzsche,Dostoevsky,Tolstoy- and feel all the better for it

To tell you the truth im not a big fan of reading. Id rather watch tv. But if its a good book, ill settle down to read it. Like the book im reading now, its called the mind reader...its another scary mystery book like goosebumps. But this book is about a girl named elie who witness a murder, then she finds her self as being next! its kind of scary! i cant wait to finish!!

I guess I have a natural affinity for reading. I just love it. If I get a really good book, I could finish it in the same day. I mostly like connecting with characters and imagining myself in their shoes. I love books with romance and lots of derring-do.
I continued reading A Bend in the Road and today I learned more about one of the main characters, Sarah. I think I am really going to like her character.

To be honest I only like to read things that interest me, and the things that I have an affinity for. I didn't do summer reading because summer is my time off of school and I believe I should have the right to do whatever I want with my time. But beyond that, The Glass Castle didn't sound at all interesting to me. So I didn't read it. But I wasn't in class for 15 minutes of reading today because I was giving two pints of my blood to The Red Cross but when I got home I decided to open up The Survival Handbook. I bought this book on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. It is a book that is made up of a gamut of tips and ways to survive in all harsh climates, dangerous places, and dangerous wildlife of the world. These tips come from military special forces units from all over the world like U.S. Marine Force Recon, U.S. Army Rangers, The British S.A.S, The Royal Marines of Great Britain, NYPD, Spetsnaz, and more. It details the appropriate steps for survival from places such as sub-zero temperatures on a mountain to the dangerous streets of the middle east. It describes how to field dress just about any animal. Field dressing is skinning, disemboweling, and preparing the meat for cooking. It also details how to make an igloo, lean-to and every other shelter there is. This book is my second favorite book and I hope I get to use it many times throughout my lifetime.

Ok. Sorry Mrs. Stallman but reading is only good when I like it. Most of the time it loses my interest. I cannot pick much that I love about reading. I read Iron Man today because it had a man feel to the cover. He lives in a cul-de-sac. This book was extremely corny. The kids name was Bo Brewster and he thought he was hard because he lashed on people. He ends up going to anger management and thats about as far as I got. I plan on never reading this book again.

I just love reading! It is just the best. i have an affinity to reading. Actually, what I just said is all folderol. Absolute foolishness. I do not enjoy reading one bit because i cant sit still to concentrate on one thing. I continued reading plague maker. It is good for me so far. The 15 min limit is just enough for me to keep reading and focusing. Donovan meets new detectives at the crime scene. And they discover that the fleas that killed the person are susceptable to carrying bubonic plague.

Unknown said...

Today i read ironman again. I was reading it after i gave blood and i got lost so much you could say it was bilious. So i guess i did get lost in the book hahahaha. Well anyways the main character did do an volte-face after his english teacher got mad at him for his comments about him. Well i guess thats all for right now but im going to try to read this whole book so by for now.

i love to read when i'm really interested in the book but if it's not a book i find enjoyable, i have to force myself to read it. I love when i read a book that i just don't want to put down! I read Chelsea Handler's book and i loved it because it was so risible. Today in class nothing really excited happened in my book, it's getting pretty easy to predict already. I feel like i have divination. I'm going to keep reading it though because my mom recommended it and said it was so good.

I really love reading when I enjoy the book and am really interested in what the book is about. My favorite thing about reading would have to be if your reading a really good story that you can relate to and you get lost in it. I acutally forget what the book I started reading today was called. It was sort of strange, at first the book ha d abunch of folderol sentences and it didn't make any sense. I'll keep reading and keep updating you . I think something might have happened that was ineffable.

Becca I would love to read the "Left Behind" series now. If its one of those books, as you say, that captures you and you can't put it down then I really want to read it.
I think that reading is the same way for me as well. I would rather be involved in someone elses problems in a book than my own since life seems to get so stressful. If I had the time I would sit and read all the time.

Unknown said...

I agree with you Becca. I love reading , and listening to other peoples situations and problems. By the way if that series is a magical elixer I want to read it. Katie later on you will have to let explain these books to me so I can get a little more of an ideia what there about. I would like to read new material but I need to see if it is intersting first. I love interesting books. People need to explain more about their reading so that I can comment more about it and understand a little of what you aer reading. I might like to read a book if you give a little more of a description. Exciting books are the best. How anyone can read a boring book is beyond me. If you have any really exciting ones let me know!

Becca C. said...

Katie,
That is exactly how i feel when i am reading. I feel like i am in some other time, and place. It is like that if are having problems, you can go read a certain book, and escape all that. It is nice that people are so talented and know how to do that.
And Ryan...
I will deffinitly make sure that i describe my stuff better. The book that i just finished was one of Mrs. Stallmans so it will be in there next Wednesday if you wanted to start reading it.

This kind of sarcasm i do not like. Tyler isnt it ironic that we both read the same book. Wow this is really great. I think we should have a book club party. That would be great. We could have cookies and tea and everything. That would be great. ya i guess people love to read when they are interested in the book. bye

Reading is a relaxing thing to do. I like reading before I fall asleep to prevent lucubration. After I read for awhile my eyes become so tired that they shut and I can't open them back up and I fall asleep. Getting back on topic the book that Matt read sounds good. Is it the one that the movies are based off of? If you could you get back to me on that. If so I would like to read it. Tyler did Mrs. Stallman delete your sexual innuendo blog?

Unknown said...

HOW ANYONE CAN READ A BORING BOOK IS BEYOND ME! Wow, u kno, everyone just loves reading. Im just not one of the crowd. u kno its just not that movie im looking for. no pictures? who does that. my imagination doesnt extend pass the tangible limit. Wen i read a book i can taste the smell of the pages. The taste is awful. Its a mixture of paper with a hint of purified distilled ink. The thought of it u kno makes my leg hairs stand down. (irony). Well its been good talking i love feedback and i love u!!!!!! ;]

Gina, I'm glad your not reading that goosebumps book anymore. The other book your reading seems very interesting. Maybe I would like to read it sometime. How she witnessed a murder is crazy to me. That would be scary and awful!
Hayley, my mom read the book your reading now too! Haha. She said it was good and she liked it. Alright cya.

Anonymous said...

Tyler I think I would very much like to read your book. What I will probably end up doing is just skimming it to see if the kid gets beat up. Bill I have that book too. It has way too much information for me to remember but its very interesting. If I could remember it all, I could so win Survivor.

Unknown said...

Hayley,
I like Chelsea Handler! I've watched her show a few times! It was pretty funny.I didn't know she wrote a book.
What it could be about is unknown to me! Is it an autobiography or is it a story she wrote?

Ryan-
I heard Artemus fowl is a master piece(though that was from a crazy guy I know so shows what I know). The book seems a little on the weird side but the workings of a faerie police force have got to be cool. What a mysterious and wonderful life is theirs.

Unknown said...

How many people who love reading is a surprise to me. I thought that more people would not have time to read and enjoy it. Usually people tend to not like to read.
Ryan, I think my sister has Artemis Fowl, but I haven't read it yet. It sounds interesting.
Gina, I would love to read a scary book. Do you recommend one really scary?
-Jenica

Unknown said...

Bill, your book sounds like it is right up my alley. I know, you wouldn't think that, it being me and all. How anyone could not like learning those helpful hints is beyond me. I love learning little random things here and there.

Unknown said...

Sara- The Harry Potter gamut, wow it's been so long since I've read any of those. Maybe that'll be what I start next, see if I find anything different while reading them the second time.
Ryan- The book you're reading sounds very interesting. I will explain my book to you anytime, and try to explain them better in my blogs from now on.
Becca- I know what you mean about getting completly lost in a book. Like taking yourself out of reality and finding something else to absorb yourself in. It's like you become who you want to be in the story. It's so powerful how someone can do that.

Unknown said...

Veronica that is what im talking about. LETS GO!!! How anyone could not want to learn about how to keep themselves alive is way beyond my understanding. And why wouldn't I think that you wouldn't enjoy it? You seem like an Ultimate Survivor to me.

Tyler and Steve... I smell a rat. How could both of you have read Iron Man? Is it good enough for Mrs. Stallman to have two copies??? Probably not. So I would expect one of you to come forth with the truth. One of you must pay for Blog-infringement. You live and you learn...you live and you learn.

Anonymous said...

I read iron man. for real. plus steve probably read it to because it was after he gave blood. He miss english come on Billy. Anyways, Sara, Harry Potter SUCKS. (NO SEXUAL INNUENDO INTENDED MISS STALLMAN!!!!) I read it last week and it did not do any wonders for me. I respect your love for it but I could care less. The material loses my interest and it sickens me.

Matt, the book The Godfather sounds like a good book, I'm a bit confused though, is it the same as the movie? Also when you same many hoi polloi, from what town are they in? So in general The Godfather is a really great guy?. Keep me updated on the story. Thank you! =]
