Welcome!

Welcome 12 CP students! This blog will be a fun and exciting way for us to discuss, share, and communicate ideas. To start, let's discuss a favorite book of ours. Each student should post at least two comments in response to the topic and others' comments. Here we go...one of my favorite books is The Things They Carried. Ironically, the first time that I read it, I did not like it too much. I thought is was a "war book." But when I read it again, I fell in love with it because I realized that the war story was its secondary story. The book is really about life and how memories shape it...how memories shape our soul (or essence, as O'Brien calls it.) I loved how he described memories as fragments and how our memory of an event is more important than the event itself. It really spoke to me.
